My predictions for 2011

This years predictions is a little tricky as there is no general election to speculate on (I hope). But lets see how I get on this time.

1. Piersmorgan will win his twitter war with Lord Sugar and gain more followers on twitter. Because of his new job hosting the US talk show on CNN, replacing Larry King.

2.Labour will have more council seats than the Tories after the local elections this year. Gaining from Lib Dems and the Tories.

3.The No's will win the vote on AV - The yes campaign really needs to step up it's game.

4.North Korea will do something crazy, again resulting in loss of life.

5. A premiership football club will go into administration.

6. Ed Miliband will still be Labour leader throughout the year and will lead in the polls all year.

7. No matter what happens to the AV vote. The coalition will stick together.

8. No Lib Dem MP's will walk the floor and join Labour.

9. There will not be a double dip recession in the UK.

10. Again, Bracknell Town centre will still not have the new town centre it so needs

Surprise, surprise, the coallitions maths hasn't been adding up. I wouldn't mind, Dazzler, but I laid all this out in an email to you before the spending cuts were announced, laid out all the maths about why it didn't work, and you still put party politics before common sense....

  2. This is very austerity-related a topic and..from a neighbouring community. Something amazing is happening a few miles down the road in Bagshot:

  3. Like I said I have read the emails. I don't think your wrong, but this is a prediction, predictions don't always go the way of maths, due to events etc. I think if any kind of recession starts to occur then the government will adjust to it and I also think the enterprising part of British business is what will save us in the end, not the government.

So there could easily be a double dip recession, but predictions have to be a gamble and therefore I have gone with there not being a double dip.

oh and reading an email does not mean that I have to totally agree with it. Even if I think it may be mostly correct. Im really not taking a government line on it as I believe the cuts should not be as harsh, but government for me is more than cuts and taxes its about all the other bits of legisation for me.

  4. (10) is like shooting fish in a barrel. I was predicting it when I moved away in 1999...
